Bob Lalich General Marty, the IH&IR took cars loaded with slag from the EJ&E and shoved them into a rotary dumper. The slag was crushed and sold for ballast, paving, fill, etc. The location is just west of Calumet Ave on the lakefront alongside the EJ&E, B&O, NYC and PRR lines. 1/5/2008 8:09:57 AM

Rick Morgan General 302 is a 1000HP Lima switcher, former TP&W 302 and Lima-Hamilton 1004. It was reportedly scrapped in 1968. 3/30/2008 12:45:28 PM
