David Mead	General	Very good restoration job here. It is wonderful to have such heritage preserved. I wonder if it will be able to run again one day? Pleased that it is protected from the elements. Displayed IC 2500 4-8-2 Mountain Steam Locomotive
This engine was recently repainted by volunteers and the CN. IC Paducah Shops rebuilt 2-10-2 #2953 into this 4-8-2 using the old boiler and a new Granite City Steel engine bed. The 30" x 30" cylinders and the air reservoirs are cast into the frame. It was dedicated here on 10-5-62, and the shelter was built in 1992. She weighs 635,000 pounds when road ready, and 450,000 when sitting here empty. Thanks to the guys here for showing me around.
