Description: |
Here is page two of a three-page article entitled "Logansport To Effner." It was published originally in the September 1952 issue of "Pennsy" magazine, page 15. Bottom Left-Hand Photo Caption: "A yard diesel, most efficient engine for Branch work, spots a car alongside grain elevator. Corn, then soy beans are the big crops." Shown here is Pennsylvania Railroad engine #9360, an ES-12M switcher built by GM-EMD in June of 1950 and rated at 1,200 horsepower. |

PRR SW7 9360 |
Description: |
PRR SW7 9360 at Englewood ( Chicago ), Illinois on April 11, 1965, Kodachrome by Chuck Zeiler. Built in June 1950 (c/n 10433) on EMD Order 4031, it was apparently renumbered PRR 9068 (2nd), later PC 9086, then CR 9086, then scrapped at Hollidaysburg, Pennsylvania. I'll bet the Englewood tower guy was happy about clearing two trains across the Rock Island at the same time. |
