The engine and tender are 95 feet long,<15 feet high and weigh 315 tons. Each of the eight driving wheels is six feet in diameter and weighs over three tons. The engine was capable of speeds in excess of 100 miles per hour. The tender behind tha locomotive is a Vanderbilt type, providing a capacity for 11,600 Imperial gallons of water and 18 tons of coal.
