This is a fine example of a 1926 B&O shops rebuilt Pacific locomotive. Built by Baldwin (c/n 36007) in May 1911 as 2-8-2 class Q-1 number 4076 with 24X32 cylinders, 64" drivers, rebuilt in 1926 to class P-1c and renumbered to 5000, rebuilt again in 1942 to class P-1da. Specs - class P-1da, 74" drivers, 225 psi boiler pressure, 26x28" cylinders, engine weight of 311,000 lb, tractive effort of 48,900 lb., Number 5000 was scrapped in November 1950.
