Description:  Looks like Milwaukee Road 2-8-2 #327 was caught sitting in a storage line at the Bensenville yard. Built by Alco-Brooks in September of 1918 as USRA heavyweight Mikado CM&StP 8618, it was renumbered in 1938 to MILW 327. The loco was officially retired in December of 1954 fter nearly 36 years of dedicated service, . Specs - L3 class, 63" drivers, 200 psi boiler pressure, 27x32" cylinders, engine wt of 320,000 lb and tractive effort of 62,949 lb. This is a Kruschke photo. No exact month or day in 1951 was listed on the photo so an approximate date was used.
