PRR 2230, EF-22, 1965
Title:  PRR 2230, EF-22, 1965
Description:  17th Street. Here is an original photo that I took of a Pennsylvania Railroad train in Altoona, Pennsylvania, during August of 1965. Shown here (L to R) are PRR engines #2230, #2228 , and #7074. All were built by EMD. #2230 and #2228 are EF-22's built in 1963 and rated at 2,250 horsepower each. #7074 is an EFS-17M built in 1956 and rated at 1,750 horsepower. They are pullin' a smokin' coal train past ALTO Tower on their way to the Altoona Yards. This photo taken from the pedestrian stairway connecting 10th Avenue with the 17th Street Bridge.
