Title:
PRR 4916, GG-1, 1965
Description:
Newark. Here is an original photo that I took of a Pennsylvania Railroad train near Newark, Delaware, on 27 March 1965. Shown here is PRR engine #4916, a GG-1 built in Juniata during June of 1942. It will soon arrive in Wilmington on its way North to Philadelphia and New York City with a 15-car passenger train. Although not discernable in this photo, #4916 was painted red at the time. The time is 4:04 P.M. (The highway bridge is marked "SR 31703.")
