Southern Pacific Job 104 had just arrived back at AVONDALE YARD, at the west end of the Huey P. Long Bridge, on a westbound train with NINE engines: five transfer units - GP35 6670, GP9R’s 3311, 3885, 3389, and 3410 - and a set of road power from a Louisville & Nashville run-through train - U33C 8751, SD45 8953, SSW GP40-2 7650 and SP GP35 6555. Here they were at the Avondale Garden Road grade crossing, and the west end of the yard. |
