Description:  When SBB took over the rail services of NOB Nord–Ost-Bahn, SCB Schweizerische Centralbahn and JS Jura–Simplon-Bahn in 1902, 61 units of the steam switcher E3/3 came into its ownership. Soon another 22 were ordered to supply all important stations with it. The 8487 operated from Olten, the main east-west and north-south crossing station of SBB. Now it is displayed as gatekeeper in Buchs.
