Album Info:Here are nine original photos by unidentified photographers of Pennsylvania Railroad trains that were taken at the Horseshoe Curve and near Altoona, Pennsylvania. The date is approximate. The negatives for these photos came from the estate of Mr. Roy Healey, a railfan who lived in California. I purchased them via eBay auctions in February of 2018.

Description:  Here is an original photo by an unidentified photographer of a westbound Pennsylvania Railroad freight train rounding the Horseshoe Curve near Altoona, Pennsylvania. Shown here (L to R) are PRR engines #5817 and another "Centipede" whose number is not recorded. Both are BH-50's built by the Baldwin Locomotive Works and rated at 2,500 horsepower each. #5817 was built in December of 1947 and retired in September of 1962. Shown here (R to R) are PRR engines #9492 and two more "C-Liners" whose numbers are not recorded. All were built by by Fairbanks-Morse and rated at 1,600 horsepower each. #9492 was built in October of 1950 and retired in April of 1965 after just 15 years of revenue service.
