Here is an original photo by an unidentified photographer of an eastbound Pennsylvania Railroad freight train rounding the Horseshoe Curve near Altoona, Pennsylvania. Shown here (R to R) are PRR engines #9492 and two more "C-Liners" whose numbers are not recorded. All were built by by Fairbanks-Morse and rated at 1,600 horsepower each. #9492 was built in October of 1950 and retired in April of 1965 after just 15 years of revenue service.
