Title:  MILW 2-8-2 #738 - MIlwaukee Road
Description:  Built by ALCo-Schenectady in November of 1914 as Chicago Milwaukee & St. Paul #8178 (serial #54968), it was renumbered in 1938 to CMStP&P 738. The loco served until being sold in September of 1949. Specs - L2 class, 63" drivers, 200 psi boiler pressure, 26 x 30" cylinders, engine weight of 275,000 lb, tractive effort of 54,723 lb. Description:  Originally built as CM&StP 2-8-2 Mikado #8169 in November of 1914 by ALCo-Schenectady (serial #54959), the loco was renumbered to CMStP&P 732 in 1938. It lasted on the active roster until retirement in December of 1949. Title:  MILW 2-8-2 #735 - Milwaukee Road
Description:  Built for the Chicago Milwaukee & St. Paul by ALCo-Schenectady in November of 1914, it started with the number 8175 but in 1938 renumbered to CMStP&P 735. After nearly 38 years of service, the loco was retired in June of 1952. It appears that this photo shows it in the dead line - note the bell is missing. Specs - L2 class, 63" drivers, 200 psi boiler pressure, 26 x 30" cylinders, engine weight of 275,000 lb, tractive effort of 54,723 lb. No exact day in 1952 was listed.Fred Ziebe took this photo.

Description:  Long before a Fairbanks-Morse H-12-44 loco wore the number MILW 736, this Alco-Schenectady 2-8-2 Mikado had the honor. Built in November of 1914 as Chicago Milwaukee & St. Paul #8176 (serial #54966), it was renumbered in 1938 to CMStP&P #736. Eventually it was retired in March of 1952. This photo appears to be a view of it in the scrap line - note the missing light, bell and main drive rod. Specs - L2 class, 63" drivers, 200 psi boiler pressure, 26 x 30" cylinders, engine weight of 275,000 lb, tractive effort of 54,723 lb. No exact day in 1952 was given. Fred Ziebe took this photo.
