PRR 2-8-0 #1251
Title:  PRR 2-8-0 #1251
Description:  As a correction to the previous description, this Consolidation is an example of a PRR Altoona shops H8b class locomotive built in 12/1909. It was rebuilt in 1919 as an H8sb. According to the Altoona shops records, it was eventually scrapped January of 1934 so this may have been one of its last photos. However the car in the photo could possibly be a 1936 Chevrolet model which puts doubt on the scrap date. Can anyone help identify the year on this car? Date listed here is approximate.

PRR 2-8-0 #7010
Title:  PRR 2-8-0 #7010
Description:  As the only photo in the group with information on the back, it was interesting to read the unknown photographer's comment - "Way freight on bridge on south of Sunbury, Pa, on east side of River" - obviously the Susquehanna River. This was an H10s Consolidation built between 1913-16. No photographer credit was listed unfortunately. Sure knew a great spot to catch some action except for the telephone wires that look like scratches on a negative!

PRR 2-8-0 #8618
Title:  PRR 2-8-0 #8618
Description:  As the dispatcher in the station and fellow trainman watch, this H class Consolidation gets underway with a blast of smoke from its stack. Built by the PRR Altoona shops as an H8a class with the original number of 1831 in 2/1908, it was later rebuilt in 12/1915 as an H10s. Unfortunately no location, date, or photographer was listed on the back of the photo.

PRR 2-8-0 #5052
Title:  PRR 2-8-0 #5052
Description:  After comparing the site to other photos, this H class Consolidation sits in what apprears to be the yard at Renovo, PA although not marked on the back. No photographer or date was listed either. Warren Evans helped by identifiying the car to the side as a 1951 Ford so it puts the date sometime after 1951. Thanks, Warren!
