Washington-Western 210
Title:  Washington-Western 210
Description:  The Washington-Western Railroad was chartered by the Green Brothers Gravel Co. in 1940 to serve its gravel pit at Jenkins, Louisiana. This was along the Gulf Mobile & Ohio's Bogue Chitto Branch in Washington Parish, just south of the Parish Seat at Franklinton. This 0-6-0 was built by Alco-Brooks under serial no. 52259 in November 1922 as Illinois Central 210, and went to the Washington-Western in November 1954. This pit closed in 1966, so the W-W moved a pit at Clifton, about eight miles north of here; but that operation used diesels.

Title:  TP 0-6-0 #323 - Texas & Pacific
Description:  Fair quality photo of the Texas & Pacific 0-6-0 #323 with an unidentified man posing next to it. The little 0-6-0 switcher was built by the Cooke Locomotive and Machine Works located in Patterson, NJ, in 1902. The photo appears to be an older reprint of a deteriorating photo and comes from the collection of Wm. L. Colburn. No date or location was given for the photo.
