Built by ALCo-Schenectady in August of 1907, this 2-8-0 started out as GTR #763 (serial #43552). In 1923 when the Grand Trunk Western was formed, the loco was renumbered GTW #2665 and in January of 1925, it slid onto the Canadian National roster as CN 2665. The loco served for nearly 54 years before meeting the scrapper's torch in September of 1961. Specs - 56" drivers, 180 psi boiler pressure, 23x32" cylinders, engine weight of 211,200 lb, tractive effort of 46,250 lb. No photographer was listed for the photo. |
