MP 2072         
MP GP38-2's 2072, 2022 and 2113 power a westbound transfer run from the railroad's Race Street Yard to its Avondale Yard. The train is on the New Orleans Public Belt, and is using the now-removed Fern Street Crossover. The grassy area on the right is the Mississippi River levee.

Earl Hampton General Two things stand out......that grass is some bright green! Also an Espee boxcar on Mopac train? With RR experience this was a common occurance. That type of car had special bracing to load beer for example. CSD 150 rules specified that car could only go back reverse route, which obviously in this case was the MP back to whereever it came from. 3/12/2010 12:37:57 PM
