| Union Pacific Railroad E9 914 at Denver Union Station in Denver, Colorado on August 26, 1965, Kodachrome by Chuck Zeiler. Unfortunately, I did not record this train's number, so my best guess (consulting the June 1965 Official Guide) is that this was unnamed Train 6-8, originating in Los Angeles and continuing on to Chicago. I have several photos of this same train, one shows the locomotives being fueled at the station platform, so it was a through train. The lighting suggests that this was a morning departure from Denver, and Train 6-8 departed Denver at 10:15 AM. |
