My one and only carnage shot.          
This is the 3rd shot ahead of the rail crane, and it was one of the only shots I ever took of track dismantling. There was something appalling to me about it. When I walked up on this scene, I thought of all the hard work and effort that went into creating our railroads ending up in a heaping mess of scrap. It is hard to imagine the tens of thousands of miles of railroad removed around the country during this decade.
