LNAC 4-4-0 #9 - Louisville, New Albany & Corydon  Contributor's Pick!
Another piece of the puzzle on this little loco just fell into place. The 4-4-0 American-type loco was built by Porter Locomotive Works in May of 1920, builder #6493. Eventually the little loco was sold to another southern Indiana railroad, the Ferdinand RR, in 1951 and then scrapped two years later in 1953. Beautiful original photo taken by E.G. Baker was heavily sepia colored before scanning and cleaning up.
