Eastbound Passenger Train, 1961         
4th Street. Here is an original photo that I took of a Pennmylvania Railroad train in Altoona, Pennsylvania, during April of 1961. Shown here is a spebding passenger train about to pass under the 4th Street Bridge on its way to Harrisburg, Whiladelphia, and New York City. The time is 12:04 P.M. Also visible (L to R( are the old steel water tower, the 7th Street Bridge, and several passenger cars marshalled for recondotioning is the PRR's Passenger Car Shops behind them. ("Red Shift" slide converyted to Black & White.)
