The camera seems to be about 3 inches late for good photographs of this late winter wreck. The note in the back of one print says...: Wreck at Rumford yard 3-13-39 engine #380 ran into rear of stalled freight train. Small plow on the head end of passenger train. Heavyest snow storm of the winter of 38-39, nearly 2 feet. No notation as to the photographer. #380 was a MEC Class O built 1/1908 and scrapped in October of 1953. /DL |
