| At Interlaken on standard gauge behind a BLS 465 the narrow gauge coaches train waits for its departure on a test run. Like all other trains, the new GoldenPass Express has to undergo numerous tests for its approval. The special feature of this train, however, is that it has a new technology with the variable bogie. The corresponding approval procedure has therefore yet to be developed. The tests are diverse (static, dynamic) and are carried out directly by the MOB. The data is transmitted and evaluated by the Federal Office of Transport (FOT), which grants the approval or not. This test phase will last from summer 2020 to autumn 2022. For the tests, a provisional traffic authorization was granted by the FOT. |
