Bunched together in a scrap line is #625 already missing it main drive rod and bell. Built by Alco-Brooks in July of 1912 originally as CM&StP #1868 (serial #51447), it was renumbered to CMStP&P 625 in 1938. According to the Alco records, the loco lasted until being sold in December of 1949. It appears that it possibly was sold to a scrapper. .No date was given for this photo but it appears to be around December of 1949. Specs - 63" drivers, 200 psi boiler pressure, 26x30" cylinders, engine weight of 277,800 lb, tractive effort of 54,723 lb. An unknown photographer took this photo. |
