MILW 2-8-2 #636 - Milwaukee Road         
Built by Alco-Brooks in August of 1912 as CM&StP #1889 (serial #51468), it was first renumbered 8089 in late 1912 and again to CMStP&P 636 in 1938. After nearly 42 years of service, the loco was retired in April of 1954 - one of the longest lasting ones in the class. Specs - 63" drivers, 200 psi boiler pressure, 26x30" cylinders, engine weight of 277,800 lb, tractive effort of 54,723 lb. An unknown photographer took this photo.
