| This loco is definitely sitting in the scrap line as it was retired several months earlier in July of 1954. Built by Alco-Brooks in October of 1912 as CM&StP #8101 (serial #52174), it was renumbered in 1938 to CMStP&P 640. The loco served until the July, 1954 retirement. Specs - class L2-r3" drivers, 200 psi boiler pressure, 26x30" cylinders, engine weight of 277,800 lb, tractive effort of 54,723 lb. An unknown photographer took this photo. |
