| Here MILW 2-8-0 #1248 poses in a Minneapolis yard after just being renumbered. Built by the Milwaukee Shops in 1913 as CMStP #7248, it was renumbered first in 1927 to CMStP&P #7248 and later in 1938 to MILW 1248. The entire C5 class of 2-8-0 Consolidations were retired between 1945-54. Specs - 63" drivers, 185 psi boiler pressure, 24x30" cylinders, engine wt of 224,000lb, tractive effort of 43,130 lb.
