| Here is an action shot of Chicago, Rock Island & Pacific 2-8-2 Mikado #2672 near St Paul, MN. Built by Alco-Brooks in September of 1923, it was a versatile performer that could handle passenger or freight trains. Specs - K-64 class, 63" drivers, 200psi boiler pressure, 28x30" cylinders, engine wt of 338,200 lb, and tractive effort of 63,467 lb. With a booster added in 1931, it increased the te by 10,460 lb and with a stoker added, the weight was 347,100 lb. There is some discrepancy when this loco was retired and scrapped.
