Title:  MILW 2-8-2 #379 - Milwaukee Road
Description:  Originally built as CM&StP 2-8-2 heavyweight Mikado #8677 by Alco-Schenectady in July of 1919, it was later renumbered in 1938 to MILW #379. The loco served for nearly 34 years before being officially retired in June of 1953. No photographer was listed for the photo. Specs - L3 Class, 63" drivers, 200 psi boiler pressure, 27x32" cylinders, engine weight of 320,000 lb, tractive effort of 62,949 lb.

Description:  Stripped of its bells and front number plate, Milwaukee Road 2-8-2 Mikado #390 awaits its final moments with the scrapper's torch. Built by Alco-Schenectady in July of 1919 as CM&StP #8689, it was later renumbred to MILW #390 in 1938. It was officially retired in June of 1953. No photographer was listed for this last photo of it before disappearing as scrap metal. Specs - L3 Class, 63" drivers, 200 psi boiler pressure, 27x32" cylinders, engine weight of 320,000 lb, tractive effort of 62,949 lb.

Description:  Originally built as CM&StP 2-8-2 #8628 by Alco-Brooks in September of 1918, this "Mikado -heavy" was later renumbered MILW #335 as seen here. Unfortunately, with its bell and front number plate missing, it appears to be sitting in the scrap line at the Bensenville yard after being retired in February of 1953. No exact date or photographer was given for this photo. Specs - L3 Class, 63" drivers, 200 psi boiler pressure, 27x32" cylinders, engine weight of 320,000 lb, tractive effort of 62,949 lb.

Description:  Sadly caught by an unknown photographer is the once proud Milwaukee Road 2-8-2 heavyweight Mikado #392 now sitting in the scrap line at the Bensenville Yard. It started out as CM&StP 2-8-2 # 8692 built by Alco-Schenectady in August of 1919. In 1938, it was renumbered MILW #392 as seen here. The loco was officially retired in November of 1954. This probably is the last photo ever taken of the loco before the scrapper's torch dismembered it. Specs - L3 Class, 63" drivers, 200 psi boiler pressure, 27x32" cylinders, engine weight of 320,000 lb, tractive effort of 62,949 lb.

Built in June of 1919 originally as CM&StP #8682, it was renumbered MILW #383 in 1938. Officially retired in November of 1954, it was still seen here 6 months later sitting in the scrap line awaiting its turn with the scrapper's torch. No photographer was listed for the photo.
